With over two decades of leadership experience, Lisa Stirgus has been a thoughtful voice for change on the Auburn City Council.

“I’m a mom, wife, and proud Auburn resident. I’ve overcome a lot of adversity to build a life I’m proud of—working my way up from a bank teller to a senior executive.

I’m running to retain my appointed seat on the Auburn City Council to put my decades of leadership experience in businesses and non-profits to work advocating for our community.”

In her career from a bank teller to an executive in financial services and nonprofits, Lisa’s leadership has shaped strategic partnerships and driven positive change.

With a track record of getting things done, Lisa will be a reasonable, grounded voice on the Auburn City Council to bring people together and deliver real results for our city.

Priorities

Lisa is committed to advocating for improved safety around Auburn, improving city services, cleaner streets and parks, and a strong local economy that works for everyone.

    Community & Public Safety

    Everyone deserves to feel safe—whether they’re in their home, at the park, or walking downtown. I strongly support both our police department and firefighters.

    As our city continues to grow, especially with large-scale housing and commercial developments, Valley Regional Fire Authority call volumes are skyrocketing, while their funding model hasn’t kept up.

    I want to be part of the conversation that ensures our impact fees and city planning prioritize public safety. We can't ask our first responders to do more with less.

    Clean Public Spaces

    A clean city reflects pride and prevents deeper issues. As your councilmember, I will continue to push for consistent investment in maintenance, lighting, cleanup crews, and volunteer-based initiatives that bring people together.

    We need to ensure small businesses are supported with clean and safe access to their locations. I’ll to residents in every part of the city — what “clean and safe” looks like varies by neighborhood, and everyone’s voice matters.

    Growing Our Local Economy

    A large share of our city’s revenue comes from business taxes — we need our businesses to thrive. Let’s reduce red tape, revisit our tax structures, and actively support local businesses through incentives and smoother processes.

    If we want Auburn residents and visitors to shop locally at the many small businesses in our city, we need to ensure that small businesses can afford to be in our city and ensure small businesses are supported with clean and safe access to their locations.
